Although bonding is not as common as teeth whitening, it is also very relevant and important in helping one to restore one to have a full smile and regain their self confidence.

The Basics:

Tooth bonding can simply be defined as a material that is bound on the teeth surfaces and in a way they appear like veneers. These bonding are made from veneer like facings which are simply made from composite resins or at times they are made from porcelain. The way the function is that they are connected onto the exterior of the teeth such that they can camouflage and appear just like the other natural teeth. Dental bonding is used in the following cases:

Teeth bonding are very important in cases of filling up decayed teeth.
Teeth bonding come in very handy in cases of someone who has a chipped or a cracked tooth as they can be used to fill the space that has been left where the teeth got broken and or chipped.
Another case that is very important is the fact that is used in improving any cases of discolored teeth.
Dental bondings are very important because they are used in filling all the spaces that may be left in between teeth such that one gets to have a beautiful smile.

The first thing that one is supposed to do when they want to get dental bonding added on their teeth is first seek the help of a dentist to know how he or she is supposed to go about the whole process. The dentist is the one who will advice you on the bonding that you take, either direct or indirect bonding. Direct bonding is what most people refer to as dental bonding.  Indirect bonding on the other hand is what most people refer to as porcelain veneers or other people refer to as ceramic coverings.

Difference between Dental Bonding and Porcelain Veneers:

Materials that are used in dental bonding are composite materials. These include plastics or resins. However, porcelain veneers on the other hand are only made from porcelain or maybe ceramics.

The cost of having dental bonding is very cheaper compared to the amount of money spent in getting porcelain veneers installed.

The dental bonds are made from the dental clinic and they can be prepared and get fixed on the patient on the same day. However, porcelain veneers are made and one has to wait for a couple of days before they are fixed on them. This is because the procedure of making the porcelain veneers from ceramic is very long and tedious.
